Group Surf Lessons
Our group surf lessons are suitable for total beginners and surfers who are at the intermediate level.
We offer daily Adult and Kids Group Lessons. Kids over 12 are welcome to join an adult class.
Group surfing lessons are a great way to get up and onto your first wave! Plus it’s a great way to meet new friends who share your sense of adventure. You get all the “hands on” help you’ll need to build up your confidence in the water.
We teach you about:
Surf safety and surf awareness
Basic fitness for surfing
Paddling and standing
Catching waves
Lessons run for 90 minutes and all equipment is provided including surfboards, wetsuits (if required) and rash-vests.

Our groups take a maximum of 16 surfers. We have a ratio of 8 surfers to one instructor to ensure you get the best from each lesson.

24 hours notice must be provided to cancel your surf lesson.
Unfortunately no refunds can be given if, for any reason, you have to leave early while participating in a surf lesson.
Our beaches, and all beaches for that matter, are at times subject to currents, troughs, rips, shallow sandbanks and strong winds. We strongly advise you to take the time to consider these factors before you accept the Risk Warning & Waiver form and participate in a surf lesson.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone surf lessons due to poor or dangerous surf conditions.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations advised with 24 hours notice before your surf lesson are fully refundable. Cancellations inside of 24 hours of surf lesson will be charged a $30 administration Fee. Cancellations made inside 4 hours of your surf lesson will result in full amount for the lesson payable by you.
Even on rainy days, lessons will often still be held. We’re all going to get wet anyway.
Lesson times may vary as ocean conditions are constantly changing. If the lesson time needs to be changed we will contact you as early as possible to arrange a more suitable lesson time.
